Benitses The picturesque fishing village of Benitses is 13 kilometres south of Corfu Town and despite the fact that it is a tourist resort, it is still a working fishing port and the streets of the old village have retained their traditional character. A new yachting marina has recently been completed which has added another dimension to the life of the village. The shady tree-lined square has a variety of tavernas, In Benitses, one will find some taverns, cafés, bars and shops. On the pavement local fishermen set up stalls where they sell their daily catch. There is a sandy beach on the other side of the coast road. |
