Kouloura Looking down at the tiny horseshoe shaped bay from the main coast road above, this is one of the most photographed spots in Corfu. Its trademark, the magnificent Agnelli villa, where countless celebrities and members of royalty have stayed in the past, is at the end of the bay. The village itself consists just of this villa, one other house, a church and a taverna. There is a small tree-lined shingle beach and a sheltered harbour for fishing boats and dinghies. The hillside surrounding the bay is covered in cypress trees. Be warned that should you choose to drive down to Kouloura for lunch or for a walk, there is only parking for a very few cars. |
