The Fruit, Vegetable and Fish Market

Corfu's newly renovated market is wonderfully vibrant mix of colours, noises and smells. Local market gardeners sell their fresh produce alongside stalls displaying that day's catch. As well as fruit, vegetables and fish you'll find beans and pulses, dried herbs and spices. If you just want to sit and watch Corfiots shopping, there are a couple of small open-air cafés.

The market is under the walls of the New Fortress, a couple of minutes walk from San Rocco Square.
