Strinilas Even at the height of summer Strinilas is literally a breath of fresh air. Located just beneath the summit of Mount Pantocrator the village is a makes a cool and refreshing break from the heat of the valleys and coastline below. Getting here is half the fun and the road to Strinilas snakes up the mountain affording several truly breathtaking views of the island laid out beneath you. Like Corfu's other mountain villages the local houses are made from stone and at the heart of the village is a square completely shaded by an enormous 350 year old elm tree. Here you will find a taverna serving traditional Corfiot dishes and the region's famous locally made wine.
